GoodLives GM helps to design programmes of work that tackle inequalities by removing barriers to community-led innovation.

Why Programme Design?

Leaders of community-led innovation face the same system barriers. These barriers push back against community-led innovation in ways that can make it hard to try new things and involve new people and organisations.

If we can design new programmes to tackle system barriers from the outset, we could have far-reaching impact.

What is GoodLives GM doing to support programme design?

Live Well.

Live Well is a GM-wide programme of work aiming to reduce health inequalities by growing community-led support for healthy lives. GoodLives GM have been supporting the programme and site teams to anticipate the system barriers they will encounter and design-in collaboration and experimentation to overcome them.

Early Family Help.

The GM Trailblazers Programme for Early Family Help will reduce inequalities through community-led support that helps families to flourish. GoodLivesGM is helping the trailblazers to name and tackle the barriers that are likely to get in their way. GoodLives GM will capture and share the learning across all ten, Greater Manchester, local authorities.
